About Us

Located in Milford, IN, Olde Heritage K-9 is a premier dog breeder since 2012, serving Kosciusko, Elkhart, Marshall, Noble counties, and clients in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Michigan. We specialize in breeding black and red imported show line German shepherds and champion line toy poodles. Mike and Linda were absolutely wonderful to work with! We had bought another shepherd puppy from a different local breeder about 6 years ago, so meeting Mike and Linda was not our 1st go-around with breeders. When we arrived to meet mom, dad, and puppies, you could tell all dogs were well loved and cared for. They had lots of enrichment activities and toys and they were clean and well kept. We spent an hour just visiting the puppies before picking one out to take home later the following week. Communication is definitely a strong suit of Mike and Linda. We kept in contact as we awaited the day we got to bring our sweet puppy home. Once we brought our puppy home, we were sent with a toy for her and a small bag of food to transition her with. Our puppy came home with a pre-existing skin condition that is very common for puppies. Linda was VERY transparent about this, and I still agreed to take our puppy home and continue the treatment regimen they had her on. It hadn't gotten much better from the time we went for our 1st vet visit, so Linda was more than willing to cover the cost for the treatment regimen our vet prescribed for our puppy. The condition is called pyoderma, and is like baby acne but for puppies and is completely harmless. Our girl is otherwise in excellent health! Linda did daily check-ins with us to see how we were adjusting and how our puppy was adjusting, which I loved. We continue to keep in contact, and this sweet puppy has the most beautiful temperament of any shepherd I have owned (and I have had 6 before this sweet girl). I cannot wait to see how she grows and matures! Mike and Linda are top notch breeders and have really gone above and beyond what is required of them to make sure we are all thriving! Thank you so much!!

We got our first GSD from Mike & Linda in 2021 and followed up with another one in November 2023. The now 2 GSDs that we have are sisters from different litters. We cannot say enough good things about Mike and Linda. They are the most amazing people and truly care about their dogs. They are knowledgeable and professional and are family to us now. How do the deposits work?

To hold your place in line for a puppy, a non-refundable deposit of $250 is required. Contact us for more detailed information on the deposit process.

What health care do puppies receive before going home?

All puppies receive their first set of vaccines, are dewormed, and undergo a vet check to ensure they are healthy before they leave for their new homes.

What age can I take my puppy home?

German shepherd puppies are ready to go to their new homes at 8 weeks, while toy poodle puppies are ready at 9 weeks.
